You just hitted my heart with this post.I´m not a homophobe but you shouldn´t forget that this world belongs to straight peoples and this is how it is.Also,Saints row is not that game to have these gay things. This game is straight in every point.
Ha. Hahaha. HahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHA. Ha, that's pretty funny. And wrong.
Anyway OP, I don't really feel the need to "make" the boss gay considering the boss is never really established as straight, or, really anything else. That's part of the appeal. Since so little is actually made canon about the boss, you pretty much have full control over how you want to perceive them. You want a gay boss? Bam, your boss is gay. Want your boss to be a transsexual? Boom, done. Want your boss to be a reincarnation of Bruce Lee in a Black woman's body? Shazam, there you go. As far as adding anything romantic in the series, I agree wholeheartedly with DeathFactor.

A relationship with either Shaundi or Johnny was apparently a big part of one of the earlier drafts of SR3's story, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't optional either - Johnny for a female boss and Shaundi for a male one. If they're still planning on doing something similar with SR4, I think it's good that a thread like this exists. But yeah, I prefer my SR without any romance too.

i don't think sexuality plays a big part, in SR2 the Boss does recommends stripper poles. but In TT not so much, i don't think the option plays too much of a role since it doesn't favor any sides.

If the next SR title is any good, it will stick to tradition and keep romance out.
Saints Row is dead yo...

To Volition,
Can you please include a Gay Storyline or Gay Character Option in Saints Row 4? This would be something that the player can select at the start of the game. I think this would be a great addition to the game. Not asking for a gay video game, but just the option. It's a big concern for a lot of GLBT gamers that there is a lack of representation in the video game arena. In SR or SR2 there was a cut scene where a guy got caught looking at a gay magazine in a store. I thought it was cool because it wasn't a big deal. However, it was only like 10 seconds of the game. Hopefully, you can incorporate a Gay Storyline or Gay Character Option in SR4 for the GLBT community.
I would like this too, just saying. It would be awesome if you could have a gay nightclub or strip club as a crib or something of the sort. One it would be a great equalizer with all the female booty running around, and it would be hilarioousss. I would definitely like an option of a gay storyline or romantic option or something in Saints Row 4. It would be shweeet. Good idea man

This is a radical idea! Not only would it be equal, it would be hilarious! I agree, a gay storyline or the romantic option for male on male vs. female on female would be cool. Or if they could add a gay night club / gay strip club to own as a crib or base in Saints Row 4 that would be rad too. go gays!

Perhaps worded differently, but I am very much in agreement. I spend a long time making my character just right, to reflect my online persona and sexuality should be a part of that gameplay. Even just simple things like instead of all female strippers, add some male ones... or let your character get hit on by more then just one sex.
Gang members can be gay too (so I've heard), so why not let your games reflect that?
Yeah, gang members can be gay and there are gay gang members. They're on the downlow. But gay people are just people. I agree, they should have some male strippers, not just female.

And these are the kind of ideas that make games get into trouble.
Don't even bother doing this. If you're gay, good for you. To each their own. It's just, I feel like they do give you options in a way.
There is really no set persona for the boss you play as. You can give him a gay feel. There have the compliments and taunts. You can give him whatever you want.
I mean, it's really suggestive for what you're going onto here. How would you make a character be... gay?
Same way they did it in Mass Effect 3. It's not difficult. EA games is just bad ass enough to pull it off and not give af what people think about it. I don't think Volition is that bad ass. That's why Mass Effect 3 was rated one of the best games. It's just so awesome in so many ways.
