How can you not like the Genki girl vehicle pack?

I have to work a long shift tonight so I won't be able to buy or play this for a few days, but watching the video really gets me hyped up for these vehicles.

If you're a hero junkie like me, we're talking a superfast (glitch customizable) sports car with a cannon. What's not to love?

Then you have an all terrain four-seater death panda (also glitch out with Teddy bear brown or whatever) for friendly neighborhood romps.

And of course, last but definitely not least; a flaming tiger death-cycle. Zombies and pedestrians alike will sweat to the sounds of my engine winding up as I roast them at breakneck speeds.

I mean, what's not to love? This is the first pack since the major mission dlc's to add any real gameplay. These aren't just cosmetic fixes or more customization, this is a whole new (yes, small) experience. A few new ways to play for just a couple bucks. Compare to Just Cause 2's vehicle packs that you then have to purchase with in game money. Not such a bad deal in that context eh?

So please, everyone stop crying that they're selling us MORE stuff, especially when this one is actually pretty awesome.

Well I personally have no desire to ride around in a vehicle resembling an animal whatsoever.

I haven't bought any of the DLC for this game though, simple reason is this isn't the SR for me.

Do I regret buying the game? Not for what I paid...no(under $20 new) but if I had spent full price I would. I don't HATE the game, but it has only been played once after beating it, and that is sad for an open world game like this.

The style of humor if you can call it that, the lifeless city, awful story, lack of real missions, stripped down customization caused this game to be my worst purchase of the year.

Again, that's just me. For those of you that like the game....that's nice. Really it is...no cheap shot here.

I completely agree. What's not to like. I will definitely get this DLC.

I think SR3 is an awesome game. My fat PS3 died, and I lost everything (already finished the game), but I'm still not done playing. I'm playing this game again.

For me, this is the game that keeps on giving.

So far the only dlc pack I could have done without is the Penthouse one, and I thought the genki girl vehicle dlc would be another I wouldn't be fond of.  But after using the vehicle customization glitch, I'm having fun with the bike and the panda buggy.  Sure, they could have released the vehciles with Genkibowl but well, they didn't.

Should have. Should have released the vehicles with Genki Bowl. Oh well, i guess some people are just fine with getting shafted.

More reskins that only add weapons on cars  that we already have? I think I'll pass...

Sure it's a cool idea and it does add some new content in the game, but should it be DLC? I really don't think so.

If this were free for people who had Genkibowl and/or the season pass, it might`ve been...well, better, anyways. As it stands it`s just another overpriced pack of reskins. Hooray.

Paying 3 dollars for a few vehicles isn't being shafted.

Being billed 8 dollars for an aspirin in the emergency room, or 10 dollars for a kleenex, or 2 thousand for a catscan, thats being shafted.

And games are not a necessity, being sick and needing medical assistance is.

Here's the thing..

I get why some of you are upset, I do.  But what I don't get is why you waste your time whining about it here rather than just finding a game you do enjoy and playing that.  Yes, I know, you've been told Volition is reading these forums and paying attention to what you have to say.  But tell me this, if Volition was really paying attention to the negative comments, where is ETD?  A lot of you wanted ETD as a stand alone expansion, but Rubin scrapped that idea.  And where's the better dlc?  If Volition really listened to the complaints here, they wouldn't keep releasing itty bitty lil dlc packs.  What I'm getting at is this, life is short and if SR3 makes you unhappy.. move on.. find a game that gives you the warm fuzzies, a game that you love so much you buy the poster (looks at his SR3 poster) and that you enjoy playing every day (loads up steam).

What a silly analogy, you patronising ****.

You're paying £35/£40 ($55/$60) for a game lacking in content when compared to its predecessors and based on the reputation of which most purchases will be made. Then you're paying, what was it, £10/£15 for the Season Pass? Which was severely lacking in quality AND quantity. Then you're sold parts that should have been in the Season Pass separately, but oh, it's only for £2.00. Then it's another £2.00 for the re-skins that should have been in the game (Gang Vehicle Skins & Gang Outfits, sold separately of course.)

Then there's the rest of the lackluster skins and the homies which nobody likes or uses. For only £2.00...

So yes, you're being shafted even though it's not because of a serious medical condition, minor headache or the sniffles.

If one is paying 55 or 60 for a product from a company merely based on the reputation of that companies earlier products, both parties are to blame.  A company shouldn't allow their product to lose quality but on the other hand, the consumer shouldn't blindly buy a product merely because their earlier products were solid.  For example, when I go out to buy lets say video cards, although I've been happy with EVGA in the past, I still do a little research to make sure their newer cards are just as good.  I'll check the reviews, I'll ask fellow techs, or I'll make sure to buy it from a retailer that allows me to return it without a restocking fee if I'm not happy with it.  However, on the other hand, I do think it's illogical that the game and music industries don't at least have a 14 day period where a consumer can return a game or cd they don't like for a refund or exchange.  I mean I've seen people return toasters, microwaves, etc,  that were more than used, and they were given a refund.  But the industries have always been able to blame piracy and other things as an excuse not to offer the consumer that right.

As for the dlc, you can say there's lackluster skins, dumb homies, and tons of re-skins but the thing is, if you don't like all of those things you have the choice to not buy them.  The dlc is not needed to play the base game, it runs perfectly fine without the dlc, it doesn't stop half way and say, "please enter dlc to continue".  And except for this current dlc pack, this site has described each dlc pack pretty fully by telling the potentional consumer what they'd be getting.  For example with the Penthouse pet pack (which i think was silly) it said the players would get penthouse pets as homies.  That seems pretty self explanatory.  And when it came to the bloodsucker pack, they not only said what it would include they created a trailer.

So when people act like THQ misled them, they're high.

However, THQ probably should have just canned the Saints Row name and started a new series, or just rebooted the series altogether like what Square ENix is doing with Tomb Raider right now, and had SR3 be the new SR.
