With this DLC, I feel like im not getting a bang for my buck I mean, I know $3 isnt that much, but consider the opportunity cost: THPS HD DLC is gonna be $5 for all extra maps, skaters, and possibly game modes. Its an expansion pack. A LOT more content for $5 compared to a just a few new skin mounted weapon vehicles for $3. It's not that I dont like it, its that its not worth it for me; not worth my money or my time. And what am I supposed to do with these vehicles... drive them around town and shoot AI over and over and over again?

I am not buying the DLC. It's not adding anything new that appeals to me and it s not extending the life of the game. That is why I do not like it. The way I see it, Volition isn't screwing things up here it's THQ. I hope that Volition owns the IP rights to Saints Row because I REALLY loved SR1 and SR2 and want to see more of the series. I just hope it's from a different publisher.

Although mascot type vehicles aren't necessarily my style, I'll probably wind up getting the the "Genki Girl Vehicles" DLC Pack if only for the mounted weapons (and the customization glitch to make them sturdier). My interest is starting to wane for these DLC packs, especially since there hasn't been a new weapon introduced via DLC in the longest time. The Laser Weapons from "Gangstas in Space" would have been golden for sandbox/free roam if it weren't for whatever technical difficulty/constraint/BS the devs ran into. I haven't gotten this DLC nor the "Witches and Wieners". The "Penthouse Pet" DLC Pack left a "bad taste" in my mouth. I was at the very least, expecting them to be dialable homies but they were nothing more than a Gang Customization option. This kind of thing should have been given away free as a promo or as an added pre order bonus, or part of the Season Pass as a freebie. I've bought every DLC pack on the day of release prior to the "Penthouse Pets" DLC and I've enjoyed and supported the SRTT DLCs, however "useless but novel" they may have been, but this was the first time I truly felt ripped off. But I digress. It would be ultra cool if you called the Genki girls "Homies" that came from Genki Bowl VII and they rode in thier matching vehicle. I'm not holding my breath though. I do have to give credit where credit is due, The Genki Girls Vehicle Pack is more than just simple vehicle "skin" variants, these have actual weapons on them unlike thier standard counterparts. Of course I would like to have seen such weapons on the X2 Motorcycle, The Saint's Rover and one of the Sports Cars. But I guess at this point it sould be silly to hope for any changes to the SRTT game, so weapon custimization should be considered in the next Saint's Row installment!!!

Thing is, I'm content with the amount of guns in the game, in fact, there are more than I even use. I tend to very rarely use the shotguns and the rifles. I however love the chainsaw and the decker sword but the problem is, they're locked until pretty far into the game. So if the horror pack unlocked the chainsaw right away, or added a few weapons similiar to the chainsaw, I'd be more than happy. Hell, I'd be happy with a machete or a knock off of Freddy's glove, one that wouldn't cause New Line to sue their **** for breaching copyright. A sledgehammer would be another cool melee weapon. I just prefer running around and goring the bad guys rather than shooting them. But I just love the f'in chainsaw because as I'm sure most of you know, if you hold down the lb key to perform a chainsaw attack, the mc will do a slow and brutal chainsaw attack rather than just quickly striking them with the chainsaw.

Ah I give up. You have really good points too. I still think all my points are valid and accurate but I can't deny some of your logic. Maybe its just because its late or whatever, but I can't see arguing with a wall. I love analogies obviously. They make it very cut and dry for simple folks (not saying you) to understand.
The bottom line is the dlc idea is great, I would love a cheaper, stripped down main game with lots of add-ons. Unfortunately the main game wasn't cheaper, and the add-ons are mostly cosmetic throwaways that don't matter this late in the life of the game anyway.
The whole purpose of this thread was to argue the cool factor of these vehicles. I was just trying to break the constant bashing of volition no matter what they do. This pack wasn't that bad. Whether you feel like it should've been included wasn't the point. The point was they're fun. To me, $3 isn't so bad for this pack. That's all.

To get away from another discussion being de-railed: My initial response was to another poster who made the comment that it would have been nice had it been included in the Genki Bowl DLC. And really, it should have been. This is exactly the kind of content you expect in that sort of DLC, especially when paying so much for it. Which is a reason why people feel so ripped off by the Season Pass and the DLC in general.
