I know alot of people like SR2 better than SR3, but I love SR3, the over the top, the sillines, the action, I love it all (Except for Gat's Death (But I dont think he really Died))!!!  So post here if you agree with me!

I love them both equally to be honest, but for different reasons. They're 2 of my favorite sandbox games. I know a lot of people would disagree with me, but I wouldn't mind at all if they continued with the over-the-top silliness, I think it's awesome.

I like SR2 more because of the story, because it actually makes you give a crap about the characters. But otherwise I like SR3 more in every way. If they only hadn't killed Johnny and Phillipe...

I love both games, but SR TT is just absolutely awesome, over-the-top, and what I want from a sandbox game. It represents an unbridled level of freedom from the "restrictions of story" that I wish more developers would take heed of.

What do I mean by this? Well, using GTA IV as an example, Rockstar was so concerned with the story that everything had to be believable and make sense to the story. So what you ended up with was a game that took itself so damned seriously that all fun was sucked out of it. SR3 doesn't care about whether or not the story "makes sense" or if the associated gameplay is believable. SR1 and SR2 also were good in this regard, but SR3 just took it to the next level.

Honestly, while there are some things I would like to see brought back from SR2 (like an insane amount of customizing, reasonably priced and USEFUL DLC for our money, and some of the activities that didn't make it into SR3) I think SR3 is one of the greatest games in gaming history!

I like both but I prefer SRTT over SR 2, the gameplay is much better. I do like that SRTT is wild and more of a parody than SR 2 but I understand why some people prefer SR 2 style and they rather have the game less over the top than SRTT was. I wanna play video games for fun and have more a fantasy to it so I guess that's why I've played SRTT way more than SR 2.

SR:TT is more playable for me. There are things about SR2 that are awesome, no doubt. I'm not dissing on SR2 in any way.

But a lot of the new things are great. Specialists, Brutes, the upgrade (personal and weapon) system.  Your motivations for doing the activities are not so good in SR:TT, but they were not _that_ much better in SR2.

At least your new lieuntenants in SR2 only required you to do one thing instead of three things each in SR:TT, but still...

:) Some people like 2 better than 3, but I love 3 :) I think the story does make sense tho, and I do care about all the charecters, thats why I rushed to save Shaundi and Viola when they needed help! :)

I've never actually played SR2 or the original Sr, the only one I've played is SRTT and it immediately captured my loyalty, so my opinion might not mean much here. But from what I've seen and heard, the makers of SR have taken alot of the serious, important narrative out of the story, and while it is still pretty serious at some points, they went overboard with the silliness. Once again, I've never played SR2 so I wouldn't know. But I believe that in order to capture and keep more fans; they should find a healthy balance between the two.

I truely love sr3 and i know that sr2 had more things to do and a better layering system for clothes, but i just can't go back to sr2 even if i had to being spoiled by the lovely new graphics/art style i cant stop playing because i love them so much and also being spoiled by the amazing animations compared to sr2 it makes it even more hard to play sr2. Another thing i seriously can't even give up at the vtols and jetpacks and the controls. Omg i dont know about you but i absolutely hated the controls for sr2 with a passion @_@, but yeah i'd have to say i like sr3 way better even if sr2 was more packed with stuff to do and was more lively
