The thing is Saints Row 3 runs on a new game engine. Most of the resources are pulled towards graphics and looks. That's why they can't add guns or more clothing etc because of this. They even said it is because of memory problems. The only way is through the DLC loop hole. Just wait for Saints Row 4 on the new systems. Both of them are 6x more powerful so expect a full blow out when it comes to everything in the series. As for PC users it would be unfair to xbox/PS3 users if they used the full memory alienating console users from PC users. That would cause forced sells for the pc version. You can't do that.

Saints Row 4 is already in production and 90% we will play it on this generation. $ony and Micro$oft already said that they won't show new consoles this year at E3. If Volition released new weapons or new clothes on PC and only on PC that wouldn't be unfair for P$3/XBox users cuz we didn't get SR 1 and SR 2 DLC's before.

I find with saints row 3 that the game was a bit short on the narrative, at its core saints row is a game with a serious narrative punctuated with a great sense of humour. Id like an addon that reflects that. I know saints row 3 is supposed to be "wacky" in compared to the previous two, however in the DLC's the wackiness takes a centre stage. At its core this is a story about a crew taking over despite resistance from the law and rivals and now in its DLC form its about zombies, horrible acting, and genki bowl side missions and clones, we went from "menace to society" to "star trek the next generation" At least with GTA 4, we got two complete games as addons subsequent and two distinct narratives that were good. I keep hoping for a DLC that embodies what saints row is supposed to about but i keep being disappointed. I sincerely hope they do not screw up saints row 4 with a bunch of nonsensical foolishness.

Developers always get the devkits way early before it is even released or shown to the public. I know what they said but that is for the public. It's already done and being manufactured. Both consoles. They did this with the xbox 360 as well. Example the next COD game (I think) I believe they said will be on the next gen on their site and this was posted in their job listings a year ago. I'm not sure if it was COD but it was a shooter.

You mean that horrible PC port that they called a game? Yes, I did. And I really enjoyed the horrible driving controls, the piss poor optimization, and the really wild diversions, I mean tagging walls, that just added soo much to the game. And you're soo right, Saints Row: The Third is such a childs game while SR2, with its ho'ing diversions, car pimping, and really cartoony gangs, it was extremely sophisticated and mature.
Seriously, the GTA series as well as the SR series rely heavily on cornball potty humor, and there's nothing wrong with that. Now when people complain about how the weapons in Clones and Gangsta's cant be kept after the missions, I get that. It doesn't make a lot of sense to add neat new weapons, only to then take them away.
As for more adult like and authentic gangster games, its all about Mafia and Mafia II on the other hand, those are authentic gangster games that don't rely on campy humor or raunch. And well, the first Godfather game wasn't horrible.
Oh I see what you are doing, the game in your head only exists on PC thus I should look at this from your perspective. Fair enough, it was a terrible game and no other forms of it exist that were not. Must we really reduce this conversation to hyperbolic views of the Saints Row series? It's doesn't need to lack humor to be taken seriously, I just would like them to tone down the complete lack of interesting narrative which is easy to do if you expect your fanbase to lol all day long at your dildo bat's and panda outfits. I don't think it's too much to ask for Volition to meet us in the middle. I can't be the only one who gets tired of the contant silly nature of the game, which was further exaggerated in the DLC's. Look at how easy they write off characters people care about! Who is the game for exactly? Anyway, I wasn't trying to get into a debate about the quality of SR3, all I wanted to do was express that I value clothing customization, which you clearly don't as you needed to argue. I am aware of what games exist in this world, and I know SR3 isn't a perfect game for me, but maybe SR4 might be. Who knows.

The missions themselves were kind of cool, but in the end I just felt jipped. All one gets as a reward is yet another vehicle and two brutes. One does not get the Saints Flow powers, a cross-dressing Pierce that sings, the Swarmitron (as terrible a gun as it was), a normal Gat or Aisha, or anything. Just two brutes and a horn. I'm disappointed with the rewards for this DLC. Maybe before they forever stop creating DLC for SR3, they'll give us something cooler, but I'm not holding my breath.

Really sad we can't enjoy the Super Power effects of the Saints Flow outside of the mission, please confirm you have a DLC planned OR cheats to have the Super Running and Fireball Hadouken for Freeroam, I myself have not played the DLC but will soon, But alot of people are saying you do not keep the powers shown on the Trailer. That's really low.. People don't want same rewards as the last DLCs, A few cars customized and Outfits, we want game changing effects.
