If there's no fix soon- I'm going straight to customer service and getting my money back... no sense in having a game that only collects dust... I'm starting to have bad flashbacks to the fiasco that was Gears of War for the PC...

You might as well try to get your money back now. Volition states that patches are in the works but does not deliver on them. I'm definitely going to wait on Saints Row 4 or any future Volition titles until it's known whether there are game-breaking bugs or poor performance since now I know that they don't actually fix these problems. It's been 3 months since they acknowledged that there are problems with AMD hardware and, so far, they have not solved these issues.

It works. I finally got it to work. As soon as I updated to the BETA bios, it worked. My game stopped crashing. I'm happy that it works, but wtf is all the mess about.

In order to get the BETA BIOS of your motherboard (probably Gigabyte by the sound of it, as I have and most people have here with the crashing issue), you need to manually download the latest BIOS version available for your motherboard. Do not download a BIOS of any other motherboard. Make sure the version you download is in fact a beta version as otherwise the non-beta versions do not work apparently for us. You can use @Bios to update it while in Windows, or you can use QFlash to update the Bios to the Beta version by restarting your computer, pressing the "End" key on your keyboard when you see the Bios screen come up, and then have a thumbdrive inserted into your computer that the Bios updater (Qflash) can read from. Make sure the Bios beta version you downloaded is on the thumbdrive obviously.
