The holiday season is in full effect around the world, so we thought we would create some of our own holiday memories right here on the Saints Row Community Site. To do so, we're going to use the in-game screenshot capture feature available on your cellphone, otherwise known as the "Camera".
What we're going to do is open up a special section of the forums, specifically for this contest, and all you have to do is come up with your best idea that compliments the theme presented. You will then have a period of two weeks to upload your best screenshot (everyone can have 1 entry per category), and at the end of those two weeks, myself and a few other V-people will select the winner in each category, and a few runner-up's. Winners will be determined on the following criteria - Sticking to the theme, creativity, and humor. Screenshots must be direct from in-game, with no editing or modifications to the picture or the base game.
Here are our 5 themes for which you will need to create screenshots for:
1. The Holiday Season - Be it Santa, a new year's person, or someone dressed up like a menorah, being creative is your best bet.
2. Enemy Gangs - Utilize members of any opposition in Steelport, but make it either crazy or humorous.
3. Random Pedestrian Interaction - Include at least one random Steelport citizen in your photo.
4. Best Furry Death - This can be the moment before death, during it, or after. The choice is yours.
5. Gatmobile - We want to see your best use of the Gatmobile, creativity is key.
submissions are now open and you can post your screenshots until January 6th. If your screenshot is not placed within the specified thread, it will not count.
Prizes, of course there are prizes for this contest, and they are a mix of old and new, but everything is awesome and Saints Row related, and of course this is open to anyone world wide. Some is Saints Row 2 related, some is Saints Row: The Third related. You can only win one prize per person, so if someone happens to win twice, we'll distribute the lesser prize to another runner-up.
As a final note, since I'm sure someone will ask, if you want to capture your own images via a cell phone camera, direct screenshot, or other means, those are acceptable entries as well, you will just need to host your own images instead of having them automatically uploaded to this website.
