There are strenghts to both games.

Overall I have to say, I loved SR2 more. It had a compelling story, I outright hated the Ronin and loved doing away with them. I loved chipping away at the gang territorries and growing my own empire stronger.

I think that's rather poorly handled in SR3. Provided you have the money, you can buy up each and every shop right from the start. Also the particular gangs stay rather faceless and invoke no emotional response. What bothers me to no end are the minigames disguised as part of the main quest. I don't like Escort or Heli Assault and I'm no good doing it. But with that kind of system there's no way out. You have to do them in order to advance the main quest.

There are only a few things I like more in SR3. One being the challenges, the second being driving physics and the third being the graphics.

When i first played Saint Row 2 i had alot of fun considering it was the first time playing it and such

like what people saided you get to choose more clothes , hairstyles ,Car Parts when you decided to pimp out your car among all of that

I liked the Ronin with those swords and Old Japanese Culture, i was abit sadden to kill the leader , i didnt really care much for the other gangs besides their cars and speaking of that the Gang cars were alot more detail in their own unique Vinyls and such,Steelport gangs however are really lazy thought out, i mean coloring the bottom half of the car then putting a star on top of it with Neon?Seriously? the cars on Saint row 2 used to be worth stealing and having consider their unique vinyls but Saint Row 3 cars? il pass

I hate the fact that Daytons are gone some of the new cars need it

and they need to really redo the model of the Bulldog , I kind of like the style they tryed to remake the new version of the hummer but it looks like a Hot Wheels Car speically with the size of rims that you increase it up too

but Saints Row 2 had it flaws as well with angry reducing bugs, and the AK-47 it kind of mange to Balence out reality and fun

Saint Row 3 however is abit cartoony for my taste but that doesnt mean its a bad game, i just wish they could of done more with it

I personally think SR3 and SR2 are better than each other in their own ways.

For instance, due to SR3's actually fluid control scheme.... I can't for the life of me go back to SR2, play it, and NOT complain about the controls. Especially when driving a car and trying to shoot. I'd love SR/SR2 remade with these controls, though I'd prefer not to have the QTE or wrestler only styles.

SR3 wins in these areas: Gameplay, graphics (of course, as SR2 had everyone look like stiff as hell dolls - basically giant toys), the upgrade system, customization in Image As Designed

SR2 wins in these areas: Customization in clothing, Pimp Cane weapon, using the environment for temporary weapons, story was better (but as it was mentioned, SR2 ENDED the original SR story arc, thus 3 started a new one, technically), more fighting styles, and funnier mini games like Sceptic Avenger and FUZZ.
