In the mission of The Belgian Problem I am not able to kill the brute that is on the ball. He keps killing me with his stupid melee attack. I saw a lot of walkthrough videos and they can shoot him for a long time but all I got is like 0.5 seconds of shooting. What can I do to complete the mission?!?!?!?!? I saw a lot of comments having the same problem but I can not see any discussion in the forum telling how to fix it. Will there be a patch that will fix this bug or something?
My computer has the minimal requirements :
2.2 GHz
ATI HD 4250
3GB of RAM
still 60 Gb of HDD after installing
P.S: I bought it on steam (I do not know if there is a relation but I thought it would be good to mention it).

I've got the same problem with that mission, I did not download it from steam, I used bought the CD's in a gameshop

Try lowering difficulty to casual for that scene, might be enough to shoot the brute off the orb.

Same issue here... I believe it's more of a glitch than a graphic problem itself. The whole brute cutscene is missing; He suddenly shows up on the orb and we have less than 3 seconds to shoot it due to The Protagonist trying not to fall while he's coming towards him...

I played the level on casual but it did not change anything. I think it is because your character is moving at your computer speed that can handle but the brute on the ball goes at normal speed since the sequence is timed to do so (that would be a reason why we do not see the brute going on the ball) so it decrease a lot your time to shoot. The patch that was released today did not change anything eighter.

Not sure if this will work but; go grind some money and upgrade the first assult rifle to max. Then use it to shoot a load of your grenades right at his face.
Friend: What we got 3 polices badges already?
Me: What'd you do?
Friend: Nothing, just ran a girl on a bike over but she *curses* deserved it.

Add me on Steam (Corrodias). We'll see if i can help you in co-op. If somebody takes me up on that and it doesn't work, i'll post. I wish Steam would notify you when you have an invitation, but i guess i'll just have to check the community page occasionally.

Success. It was a close one, but i successfully helped one person past the mission using co-op mode. The extremely laggy co-op (a well-known issue) was quite a distraction, i must say. I'm available for whoever needs it, usually late in the evenings, like 7pm-1am Central (GMT -6).
