What reward do you get for having josh? It is too late since I beat the game last night and gave him over to stag.

If you give him to stag, it actualy makes the game easier. Keep him, and STAG will put up restricted zones, some islands will auto give you one star on the police wanted lists (The Saints' main Crib the Penthouse is in a restricted zone). Give him over, all the islands are free zones. The abilities that drop wanted levels will tun it off for a minute and reset your wanted level. If you want a challenge, keep him, up you homies limit to 4, and he should make the mission Threeway easier. If you want the police to go a little easer during pre-end-game free roam, give him over. You don't get his costume or anything special, you just get an aditional homie that will look good alongside your Nyte Blayde DLC.

i gave him over to stag, i never really use homies that much anyways so it would've benefitted me more giving him up. giving him up also gives you an entire section of any neighborhood you chose, that means clearing out gang operations, buying buildings, etc etc. this in turn, gives you more money.

I accidently found a glitch in this. Save at the decision, handing him over. Re-load the save and the mission will be reset. You will also have the free take over, along with whatever cash and other inventory you had on hand. Farm anyone?

I chose to keep Josh. But do the restrictions areas eventually go away later in the game? Or do the restriction areas stay forever, even after I beat the game?

You midas well get josh as a homie. The city takeover assistance is something that can be obtained through gameplay, but you have only one chance for another unique homie.

Everything goes back to the way it was before STAG, if you beat the game (I took the good ending).
