kinda no excuse for no search function but then again no excuse that they released a game that is this buggy. Don't get me wrong i LOVE this game hence why i am so pissed its barely playable

no search feature = broken, unusable site !! I read somewhere that the community has topped 1,000,000+ character uploads. What a waste if we cant find one without strenuously browsing through the other 999,999 characters. How was this feature overlooked or removed?! NO forum search, character search, profile search, nothing. Horribly un-userfriendly. Very, very dissatisfied. Shame.

Well you can "subscribe" to threads but what does that do exactly? How do you view your subscribed threads?

i have bad news for you if you have been 'subscribing' to threads, check your email inbox...... thats all ill say.....
i made that same mistake too, so i started to 'favourite' the threads instead, but still doesnt seem to make them appear at the top or seperate from the bulk of the forum, its really annoying to keep losing threads. i started a thread yesterday, which i now cant find and on top of that, it seems to have been moved to another sub-forum!! its a bit of a joke to have a favouriting system that does nothing and no search function.

I've griped about the lack of a search function elsewhere on this site, usually as an aside to something else I was snarky about. Really, though, how half-assed does a company have to be to create a forum without a decent search function? Let alone not having one at all? I think there might be a few open-source bulletin board programs that don't have very good search features, but even they usually have something. (Just saying. Since, you know, THQ pro'ly doesn't have much cash after the soaking Red Faction Armageddon took ... open source is usually free or cheap.) Perhaps it's simply that THQ/Volition believes more people will register than read forums if there's no search feature ... people will have to register to ask a question that's already been asked a gazillion times, rather than simply read it and move on. Just being cynical. Saints Row is my game, but it seems clear that it's some sort of redheaded stepchild to THQ. Good question! Now I'll go see if I can't be the umpteenth millionth person to ask about the manapult dlc for pre-order folks.
