I can't pick 1 favorite memory, but the days when I used to make glitch videos with a bunch of other well known SR forum members were the best. Even the previous moderator, TheImacMan, joined us on a few occasions.

It was Saints Row, the community, and the developers that made me change my major to game design.

I recently graduated a few weeks ago with my game design degree, thanks for helping to put me on this path, Volition:)

FAR too many favorite moments to name, but here's just a few:

 - Buying the first Saints Row way back and playing Insurance Fraud for the first time. Hilarity ensued.

 - Playing SR online for the first time in the greatest named game mode ever (Big Ass Chains), and getting a message after from a limey British kid saying "eh doominater wanna be in mah gang?" I respectively delined.

- Chasing a man in a hot dog suit with hand grenades.

- Cutting class the day of Saints Row 2's release (exactly two years ago today... time flies) to buy it. And yes, I did buy the collectors edition.

- Playing Insurance Fraud in Saints Row 2. It's STILL funny.

- Septic Avenger. I need say no more.

- Putting on a hot dog suit and chasing citizens with a chainsaw.

- Wearing NOTHING and chasing citizens... with a chainsaw again.

- The fact I bought a strategy guide for the game JUST for a map of the city. Yeah, I have two: that and the CE one.

- The final mission of the Corporate Warfare DLC. Holy hell that was brilliant.

- The surpringly stellar soundtrack. Who DOESN'T blast "The Final Countdown" while flying in a UFO?

- The fact that Saints Row 2 did more than wash the awful taste of GTA IV out of my mouth.

- The character creator. Why be an eastern european stereotype when you can be a a 800 pound man with a head shaped like a wang?

- None of that "Cousin! Let's go bowling" nonsense.

- Lastly, the fact that SR, SR2, and even Red Faction Guerilla put Volition as one of my favorite developers ever. Alongside legends like Westwood Studios and Id Software in my mind.

You guys effing rock. Saints Row 3 WILL be the greatest game on the face of this earth... provided you keep the hot dog suits and hand grenades.

EDIT - Oh, and I would put on a Hot Dog suit and chase people with a chainsaw for that magnificent prize you got there. That's dedication.

My biggest memory is swearing at the screen when I fail a mission and can't pass it... particularly the ones that require steering AND shooting within a time limit (like the Ronin motorcycle/bridge mission!!). I don't play video games as often as some people so I'm likely not very good in parts needing more skill. But I was so addicted to the game and really wanted to see what happened next in the story for the Saints that I didn't give up. I would come back later to try again and again when I was less frustrated. Somehow I managed to pass those missions and I have to say Saints Row 2 is one of the most fun games I've played. You end up caring about the characters and your own little gangster over the course of those cutscenes and dramatic events.

When my colleagues at work asked what I did over the weekend, I replied, "Saved some hookers, sold some drugs, shot a dozen pimps, ran over people on the sidewalk, and jacked about 50 cars."  Do you know they all stopped and did a double-take?

I like to go to "monumental" areas so I can remind myself what happened in this spot. Going back to the same corner Julius found you, & if it weren't for him I would have been dead. Gives me some chills. Going through the airport & imagining a Carnale with a rocket launcher on top of a building blowing me up before Dex even said the first line lol. Driving my vehicle filled with satchels into a gas station, flying through the air & surviving without cheats lol. My cousin & I having pimp slap fights with "low gravity" & "milk bones" enabled. "Evil Cars"- enough said lol. Going on top of Ultor building and suddenly a random civilian jumps to his doom. Going to the spots where Alderman Hughes & I blew up and where Lin drowned brings back dark memories. Turning on "Super Saints", then betraying a Saint so he will start shooting at me, then other surrounding Saints start shooting the hell out of him & never dies. And countless other things have happened...

I know that it was changed in Saints Row 2, but my favorite parts of Saints Row 1 was how the Protagonist had about 1 line of dialogue per chapter. He was as cool as Silent Bob because his line was always hilarious to hear. "Can we hurry up? I want to go to Freckle Bitches."

One of my favorite memories was getting my first 100% game. I had played the game through a few times, but had never completed the hundred percent. Finally I had created a character that I was in love with, and decided this game was worth it, I was going to do this. I was stuck at 99%, and needed to finish the tow truck activity. I had struggled to complete it many times, gotten oh so close, but finally did it. Satisfaction. This was the first, and only game I have ever gotten 100% completion on, and likely will be until Saints Row 3 comes out.

Congratulations Volition, on this the day of your Saints Row 2 anniversary.
