Hey all,
I'm starting to get this forum ready for the move over to the new backend, and for those that have been watching, I've been combining a few sections here and there, such as all the SR2 MP sections, and the SR1 MP sections.
The reason I bring this up is because I'm about to make a large sweep, which is to delete the [url=http://community.saintsrow.com/viewforum.php?f=14:1kss8l2b]SR1 Demo[/url:1kss8l2b] section. There are a few reasons for this:
1. The SR1 demo no longer exists in the fact that you cannot freely download it from anywhere.
2. Many of the user names in that section were only created back in 2006, and have not logged back on since.
3. By removing that section, it will save on search time and forum speed by not having to access and archive 14,000 posts.
The only concern I think some of you may have is that any of your posts within the section will be removed and taken out of your current post count. Please let me know if you have any concerns, but this generally only effects our older members. Also note that I'll go into the details about the backend switch later on when I have more details.

Yes, I doubt anyone even remembers the demo really. It could save a good bit of forum space me thinks.

i think it should stay. me thinks it has a form of history for this forum and for the Saints Row Community. something people could look back to when theres a SR3 or even SR4

It should be noted that I'm only removing the Demo section. All the other sections are staying or being combined to make searching stuff easier.
I was just going to delete the demo section entirely since as stated above, there hasn't been a real post in over a year, but as most of you know, I always try to keep everyone abreast of any community changes.

To tell the truth I never even played the demo of SR1, i bought the game right off the shelf not knowing anything about it but it had gangs in it.
But I belive down with the demo, thats should of been gone along time ago, you should just get rid of the rest of the SR2 section. I noticed the words Saints Row 2 above the community and sign up stuff. ;)

I registered in 2008, so I don't really give a shit about the Demo section at all. If my opinion counts for anything, then I think the deletion is entirely appropriate in this instance.
