If the file is from the common archive, it still goes in the rebuilt patch file. If a file is in both common AND patch, the file from patch will be loaded.
Make a back-up of your original patch.vpp archive, neither I or any modders on this forum will take any responsibility if your SR screws up and you have to reinstall your game.

Minimaul's Modding ToolsMinimaul's Saints Row 2 modding tools are a collection of tools for editing Saints Row 2 files. Most are based on Rick's Gibbed tools, with improvements. Some are almost completely new.
Winmerge The app allows you to open two files in their own separate panes and it will color code any difference between them. You can jump to each changed section and right click and have it copy over chunks into the other doc.
Powertools rev5It displays your character's xyz coordinates in real time while playing so you can move to a location to grab coords for setting up spawn points, races, lightcones, missions, you name it!
