Wasn't trying to offend i apologise if I did, and ok wasnt quite sure how microsoft is with there old console policies nonetheless, thank you for clearing that up :).  I was merely thinking that said contract  expires with said console but seeing how that isn't how it work's, i guess i was having wishful thinking lol was worth a shot though.

Yea, it would suck for people who couldn't buy the new consoles if Microsoft and Sony just gave up on the 360 and PS3 right away. They know that.

Take for example the orginal NES the licensing for it ran for 20 years. So there is no telling how long these "new" contracts are.

i thought without having SR1 cause i got no xBox and won't buy one for just one game i would have a good overwiev over the Main Story but now while playing SR4 it come clear, that i have several plotholes.

Until then i had no idea who Tanya is.

I knew that "King" was the leader of the ViceKingz but had no clue that Benjamin King is King.

The whole Plot from SR2 was present so no problem but

Spoiler: Show

playing a mission where you have to defend youreself and King was a littlebit: "yeah, whatever, never played, never known so who cares"

I can understand why it's not possible to do a remake cause many contracts are bound to platforms so it may be an xBox-exclusive-title-contract.

i don't have to play it by myself but would like to fill my Plotholes.

several wikias aren't filled enough to do so, so if anyone knows a good site or a better way please feel free to give me a hint.

You could always watch a walkthrough of the first game on youtube like I did.

Volition probably does not Owns the rights for Saints Row Franchise, it probably belongs to Deed Silver or Koch and i dont think they would find a profit to porting an old game... but gosh how i would love to get SR1 on Steam and the SR2 DLCs too.

Peoples keep talking about an exclusivity contract. What contract? from the saint's row wiki:

"Though the game was also announced for the Sony PlayStation 3 to be released at a later date, this port was canceled in favor of putting more resources towards the game's sequel, Saints Row 2, for release on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation."

If a port comes out for the Xbox One, porting that port to PC will likely be very easy according to what I'm hearing about the way the Xbox One is put together.

Somone could mod the old game into a newer verson of sains row. I don't know how long the first one is (i've never played) but I'm sure somone could get the voice files from the first one. Then they would need to build the map from scratch in the new engine. But I think a combination of old and new meckanics is probably a good idea, perhaps a classic mode for the people who want it just like the old experience and a revamped mode for people who want the story of the old game with all the gameplay mechanics of the new; weapon customisation, upgrad system, Puperpowers?.

When the SDK is released could this be done? I may post a request in the mod forums. I'm also doing a course in game design, I could even help at some point.

I would buy it on Steam and buy more copies and force it upon my friends just so they could know what a real Saints Row game is.

I would definitely buy it if it came to PC. Saints Row is definitely my favorite series in this genre, and I never got to play the first one.
