Not support the Aus industry? The game was created by an American company, not an Aussie one...you would be supporting Australian retailers and suppliers by purchasing from Australia.

How old are you, seriously? If you buy any product from an Australian retailer you are supporting them & their Australian supplier (provided they haven't directly imported). THQ Asia Pacific released an official Australian release of Saints Row, so when you buy that release you are supporting THQ Asia Pacific & whatever Australian retailer(s) you buy from, thus supporting the Australian gaming industry.

If you don't think that THQ isn't apart of the "industry" then you're not very well educated on the subject, friend.

Fair enough, my point was that THQVolition was getting my money either way as I paid for a copy of the game.

Plus the fact the game was region free enticed me to buy it, as it was a price worthy of purchase as explained in my earlier post, so congrats to VolitionTHQ for enabling this.

"V-Malevolent Jelly"]So, the request if for us to patch a cosmetic issue that only occurs when people circumvent the Australian branch of our publishing company and our affiliated Australian retailers?

Thanks for reading Malevolent Jelly, I hold great respect for developers :) .

It seems the issue isn't restricted to the Asian version, i.e. the original Australian version too (there is a post here in this thread).

The game is region free, so eventually this issue was bound to arise, it must suit the publisher, otherwise I would be forced to buy the Australian version and support the Australian Branch and Affiliated Retailers...instead of the Asian Branch and Asian Retailers (I'm not a pirate, I paid for the game and supported THQ & Volition).

Myself and many others I know think it's great when a game is region free, as it allows us to send a message to the Australian Retailers and Suppliers that gamers are not happy with how they are treated (most of us anyway...look at the price comparisons). I realise that is out of Volition's control and hence that shouldn't be an issue, I was just replying to what you said about my importing of a region-free game.

Again I applaud your decision to make it region-free, and if you could add this issue to your list of bug-fixes that would be awesome!

Thanks a wrote:

Hey I'm just curious, is it true that the AU release is region locked? If s wrote:

"hp32s"]No you get over it. It happens when nothing is going on at all (like when there are no cars around and two or three people max). You shoot somebody in the head they fall to the ground and they disappear straight away in under one second. How come it dosn't do it on a USA xbox 360 machine using the same exact disc. Do you have an Australian xbox 360 and the USA version of Saints Row?

Wait wait wait. Are you shooting someone in a car? Cause I am an american playing the (i dunno?) American version (there is more than one version??) and if I shoot someone in a car they fade away in wrote:

I'm and aussie and am having this same problem too and am really disapointed it really takes away from the game. The Australian government has put laws in place supporting parrallel importing to try and keep software prices in Australia competitive internationally. However retailers or distributors in Australia seem to want to fight this and increase prices every chance they get (games are about double retail in Aus compared to the price they can be bought for internationally). I think as a company you should be happy that people want to buy your game no matter where they get it from and would try and help get a fix out for this problem.
